What Decks Features Are And How They Impact You And Your Students
Decks can have many features that change how your students interact with their assigned decks. Some deck features can also limit how you as a teacher can interact with the deck. These Features can be sorted for in the Boom Store.

Card Order
Deck order is set by the Publisher when they created the deck. There are three different ways that a Publisher can use when creating a deck. Randomized, Sequential, and Flow Magic.
Randomized Order
A deck that is Randomized will randomize the cards in the deck so the order the cards appear will be different every time a student plays the deck.
This is great for student practice.
Randomized decks can be used with Custom Play Settings to customize the deck for your students to facilitate differentiated instruction.
Custom Play Settings can let you change how many cards a student plays in one play session and can also help.
Sequential Order
A deck that is Sequential will always play in the order created by the Publisher.
Limits
A deck that is set to be sequential will not be able to be customized by you quite as much as a Randomized deck.
A teacher will not be able to use Custom Play settings to change how many cards a student will play in a single play or change the order of the cards show in a deck.
Flow Magic
An author can create an interactive deck that uses conditional logic that will change how a student moves through a deck.
Limits
Flow magic decks are created with Conditional Logic so a teacher will NOT be able to Hide cards or use certain Custom Play settings with this deck.
You will still be able to use custom Play settings to allow/disallow showing the answer in the card is surrendered or allow/disallow a student from playing the deck multiple times.
If you think the deck would be better with different Card Order settings, the author can change the default.

Answer Types
There are many different ways a student can interact with a Card.
Fill In the Blank
Publishers can add Fill in the blank questions.
These fill in the blanks can accept multiple answers as long as they were added by the Publisher.
Fill in the Blank Answers can be self-grading or Open Response.
Short Answer
If the author set the fill in the blank as open response, that card will need manual grading.

Drag and Drop
Drag and drop is a fun interactive card.
A student will be able to drag and item and drag it into a designated drop zone.
Please note that Drag and Drop items is not a motor accessible feature. If you need to use a deck with a student who needs motor accessibility, please filter out decks with Drag and Drop.
Multiple choice
A card in deck with Multiple Choice has multiple answer choices for a student to select.
Multi select
There is more than one correct answer in a card.
Ink
When Ink is enabled in a Boom Card, this allows the student to draw on the card! This can be used in many ways, from showing their work in a math problem, practicing writing letters, and many more!

Audio Recorder
When "Allows Voice" is turned on, the student will be able to record themself and listen to their recording. This could be used for pronunciation practice decks where they can practice and listen back to their pronunciation.
At this time, Voice Memo is solely for student use. Voice Memos recordings do not save and cannot be accessed by instructors.

Media Types
Audio
Publishers can add sounds to their decks!
These can be either fun "sound effects" or a recording that will read the question on the card.
Video
Publishers can add videos to their Videos.
These Videos are hosted in Vimeo and will never show an advertisement to a student.
Draggable
A draggle element is a fun way that a publisher can make their deck more interactive.
A Draggable element is not necessarily always an answer but when paired with a drop zone it can be a way a student can answer a question.
